What are lab-grown diamonds or laboratory diamonds?
Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds "grown" in a controlled laboratory environment. They consist of the same chemical composition as natural diamonds (carbon atoms arranged in a specific pattern), but lab-grown diamonds are not formed deep within the Earth's crust; instead, they are created in a laboratory. Because lab-grown diamonds are chemically identical to natural, earth-grown diamonds, they are identical in appearance, quality, and durability to natural diamonds.
How does Azuro Republic lab-grown diamonds?
Step 1
Use Aton™ diamond seeds and place them in a sealed petri dish.
Step 2
It incorporates high concentrations of methane (CH4) and hydrogen (H2) in a synthesis ratio patented by Azuro Republic, and draws on experience in cultivating over 200,000 lab-grown diamonds.
Step 3
When a sealed petri dish is heated to 800°C, the carbon elements are ionized due to the high temperature.
Step 4
Carbon ions will adhere layer by layer to the diamond seeds on the petri dish. During this stage, any temperature, humidity, or instability of ions will affect the quality of the diamond.
Step 5
The process of carbon ionization and structuring lasts 90 days until a complete diamond ore is formed.
Step 6
The lab-grown diamonds have been successfully developed, achieving the goal of sustainable development.
In 2018, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) passed a new diamond bill. It removed the word "natural" from the previous sole definition of "diamond," classifying lab-grown diamonds as diamonds. This provided a more stable trading benchmark for the value and price of lab-grown diamonds in Europe and America.

As CVD technology matures, the best-grade lab-grown diamonds can achieve color grades of D, E, and F, and clarity grades of VVS or higher. Each lab-grown diamond is closer to perfection in grade than a natural diamond.
